Across society, child illiteracy poses serious and immediate danger to the wellbeing of children. UNICEF, the World Bank and UNESCO Institute of Statistics projected that less than 46% of boys and 42% of girls can read or write in Liberia. It states that 80% of Liberian schools were destroyed during the 14-year civil war, and that two million children in Liberia are vulnerable. To eradicate this terrifying threat to children, we have adopted the concept of “NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND,” in its holistic term. The CCDennis Center believes its collaborative partnerships in addressing the existential threat posed by child illiteracy.

 CCDennis Center is committed to providing scholarship opportunities to vulnerable students to prepare them for academic and professional success. Through its innovative resolute approaches, the CC Dennis Center collaborates with members of the community and various schools to meet its objectives of higher education in a safe space that supports students’ physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

We intentionally rise to address this emergency with swift urgency. We stand with children to eliminate this crisis by providing opportunities and safe environments to learn. We are asking you to join us in this fight for the future of children. If future leaders are to ensure the vision of knowledge, inclusion, peace, and patriotism, we must equip them with the tools to build a better world. When we educate children, we educate society. Let us not overestimate the cost of education and underestimate the devastating threat illiteracy poses to children and society.  Support the C.C. Eligibility

All eligible requirements must be met for a scholarship to be awarded. All fees are paid directly to the schools with no exception. Application must be completed prior to the commencement of school. Recipients must demonstrate a financial need and a drive for higher education.

Philosophy

We intentionally rise to reduce children’s vulnerability to illiteracy.  People perish where there is no vision.  For the lack of knowledge, people perish.
